Digital Radiography
Digital radiology is used after a clinical examination in cases that involve injured bony structures. This technique produces a more advanced image than a typical x-ray. A computer can be used to enhance the x-ray and enlarge it, make it darker or lighter or change its contrast, which is very helpful in making a diagnosis. Storage and filing all x-rays in a digital database is another major improvement with digital radiology.
Just as digital cameras have made photography more efficient and affordable by eliminating film, Eklin's systems provide the veterinarian with an X-ray image that can be viewed immediately on a high-resolution monitor without need for film developing.
The Eklin system provides the user with sophisticated image processing tools, giving the veterinarian much greater depth of information that can be enlarged for far better detail. Images can be stored and archived for future evaluation.
