02/10/09 This is our first rabies case for the year 2009. It was located in south-central Hansford Co. where it exposed 4 horses. Please remember to keep your pets current on rabies vaccinations and it is also advisable to vcaccinate horses, 4-H and FFA project animals, as well as valuable breeding stock.

Last yeart we had 24 cases in HSR 1, with only 1 by this date, which was a cat in Hansford Co. reported on 2/6/08.   The county had a total of 1 cat and 3 skunks reported as positive in 2008.

CONGRATS, you guys!!!!
Texas Winds = Barn Renovations
Strong summer winds made us feel like we werent in Kansas anymore, as a neighbors barn blew into our parking lot and also tore the roof off of the original building.
The roof is replaced and we were able to expand the original building with a bit more space to better accomodate our equine patients.
The stocks are now wider apart to keep neighbors from nosing around , and to let us perform more efficiently, giving your horse the attention they deserve.
We know you will love the new accomodations!
Congratulations to Jim Bridwell  and Smoke N My Boots  for placing 1st in Vernon at the Ranch Sorting!
